Eligible Expenses:

  • Artistic co-productions of new works or exhibitions in collaboration with foreign arts organizations, resulting in a public presentation or publication.
  • Financial co-productions by Canadian performing arts presenters and festivals investing in new works by foreign artists, resulting in a public presentation in Canada.

Use of Funds:

  • Up to 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $50,000.

Ineligible Expenses:

  • Activities that occur before the deadline date.
  • Activities that receive funding from another Canada Council program.
  • Activities listed on the general list of ineligible activities.

Fees:

  • No fees are associated with this grant program.

Qualifications

  • Must be an artistic group, collective, or organization.
  • Must be a festival or presenter.
  • Must be a literary book publisher.
  • Must have a validated profile created in the portal.
  • Must presently receive core (operating) support from the Canada Council.
  • OR must have received at least one Canada Council project grant in the last 5 years (excluding specific components and programs).

  • Disqualifications:

    • Activities that occur before the deadline date.
    • Activities that receive funding from another Canada Council program.
    • Activities on the general list of ineligible activities.
    • Grants from the following components and programs: Professional Development, Small-Scale Activities, Travel, Representation and Promotion, Translation, Creation Accelerator, Frankfurt initiatives, Digital Originals, Digital Now, Digital Generator, COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund, Grow Stage 1, and the Canada-Korea Connections Fund.
