Qualifications
- Must be a book publishing firm.
- Must have completed at least 12 months of operation as a book publisher.
- Must be at least 75% Canadian-owned and controlled in fact.
- Must have its headquarters and at least 75% of its employees based in Canada.
- Must be a private-sector firm or university press.
- Must be financially viable.
Must have fulfilled all contractual obligations with respect to author royalty payments or other methods of payment to authors, from the beginning of the reference year through to the end of any contribution agreement.
Disqualifications:
- Publishers with net sales of own titles that were $50 million or greater in the reference year.
- Unincorporated divisions of larger organizations, with the exception of university presses.

Create or Access a Funding Portal Account: Go to the Canadian Heritage Funding Portal. If you do not have an account, create one. If you already have an account, log in.
Prepare Documentation: Gather the necessary documents for your application. You will need:
