- Must opt in to receive funding through the Child Care Operating Funding program.
- Must not charge waitlist and waitlist-related fees.
Must align with the BC School Superintendents Association (BCSSA) regional chapters.

The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative helps make child care more affordable for families. If your business is an eligible, licensed child care provider, you can receive funding to lower and stabilize monthly child care fees.
You can use this funding to:

Program Steps
Register for My ChildCareBC Services: Create an account on the My ChildCareBC Services portal if you do not already have one.
Review Funding Guidelines: Download and review the 2024-25 Funding Guidelines to understand the requirements and benefits of the program.
Prepare Documentation: Gather the necessary documents for the application, including:
- Proof of your child care facility’s license
- Financial statements
- Detailed fee schedule
- Direct Deposit Application Form (PDF, 407KB)
- Change Notification Form (PDF, 133KB) if applicable
Complete the Application Form: Fill out the Child Care Operating Funding application form available on the My ChildCareBC Services portal.
Submit the Application: Submit the completed application form along with the required documentation through the My ChildCareBC Services portal.
Await Approval: Wait for written approval from the ministry. You will be notified once your application is reviewed and approved.
Implement Fee Reductions: Upon receiving approval, adjust your child care fees as per the program guidelines and inform the families enrolled in your facility.
