Description

This program rewards your business for training your employees. You can get a rebate ranging from 4% to 10% of your annual assessment, up to $25,000 per year. If your business is COR- or SECOR-certified, you automatically qualify for a 10% rebate.

The rebate can be used for various types of training, not just safety-focused ones. Training must be provided by an approved third party and result in a certificate or proof of completion. This means you can invest in courses that improve skills and help your employees perform their jobs more safely or efficiently.

You don’t need to provide training documentation upfront, but you might be asked for proof before your rebate is processed. This program is a great way to invest in your team and get rewarded for it.

Program Steps

  1. Complete Section B of the Employer’s Payroll Return (EPR) Form:

    • This form is mailed to all employers in late December. Fill out Section B to apply for the rebate.
  2. Prepare Documentation:

    • Gather proof of training, such as certificates, transcripts, or other proof of completion. Training must be provided by an approved third party and meet the program's criteria.
  3. Submit the EPR Form:

    • Send the completed EPR form to the appropriate address or submit it through the designated online portal.
  4. Await Confirmation:

    • You may be asked to provide additional documentation or proof of training before the rebate is processed. Be prepared for a spot audit.
  5. Receive Rebate:

    • Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive the rebate, which can range from 4% to 10% of your annual assessment, up to $25,000 per year.
