Repayment Terms and Interest Rates:

Program Steps

  1. Create an Account:

    • Visit the application portal.
    • Fill in your first name, last name, user name, organization name, email, and password.
    • Confirm your email and password.
    • Click "Register" to create your account.
  2. Log In:

    • Use your registered email and password to log in to your account.
  3. Prepare Documentation:

    • Gather the following documents:
      • Proof of event planning (e.g., event proposal, schedule).
      • Financial statements or budget for the event.
      • Evidence of other funding sources.
      • Expected attendance numbers.
      • Tourism expenditure estimates.
      • Any additional information that supports the economic impact of your event.
  4. Complete the Application Form:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to fill out each section of the application form.
    • Provide detailed information about your event, including how it will increase community profile and promote economic development.
  5. Submit the Application:

    • Review all entered information for accuracy.
    • Click "Submit application" once all sections are complete.
  6. Wait for Response:

    • You will hear back from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) within 2 to 4 weeks regarding the status of your application.
  7. Follow Up:

    • If requested, provide any additional information or clarification needed by the project officer for the evaluation report.
  8. Receive Funding:

    • Upon approval, review the conditional contribution agreement.
    • If requested, 50% of the approved funding can be made available upon execution of the agreement.
    • The remainder will be provided after submitting the required final event report to NOHFC.
