- Radio stations, narrowband wireless communication systems, mobile broadband antennas, and fixed broadband systems.
- Internet of Things, autonomous automobiles, smart cities, dynamic spectrum access, haptic technologies, and augmented reality devices.
- Testing new earth station antennas, satellite de-orbiting technologies, and certain academic projects.
Restrictions on Use of Funds:
- Funds cannot be used for commercial trials that involve financial cost recovery from users.
Fees:
- Developmental radio licences: Fees are set out in the Radiocommunication Regulations and adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index.
- Developmental spectrum licences: No fees currently apply.
- Developmental earth/space station licences: Fees are linked to the fee schedule described in the Guidelines for the Submission of Applications to Provide Mobile Satellite Services in Canada.

- Upon approval, ISED will issue your developmental licence.

Conduct Testing:
