Repayment Terms and Interest Rates:

  • There are no repayment terms or interest rates. This is a non-repayable grant.

Use of Funds:

  • The funds can only be used to cover the costs of the services provided by the vetted Digital Service Provider.
  • The grant cannot be used for any other expenses outside of the specified services.

Fees:

  • There are no fees associated with this program. All costs for the eligible services are fully covered by the grant.

Qualifications

  • Your business is owned and operated in the Province of Manitoba.
  • Your business is registered and in good standing with the Manitoba Companies Office.
  • Your business has been operating since April 1, 2021, or earlier.
  • You can demonstrate that your business has invested a minimum of $3,500 in building digital capacity since April 1, 2022.
  • You have a minimum of 5 full-time equivalent employees for the Business Technology Assessment or the Cybersecurity Audit.
  • You have a minimum of 2 full-time equivalent employees for Digital Legal Services.
  • The individual named in the application is authorized to enter into legal agreements on behalf of the company.

  • Disqualifications:

    • Businesses that have previously received a Business Technology Assessment, Cybersecurity Audit, or Digital Legal Services through the Digital Services Program.

Program Steps

  1. Create an Account: Visit the Digital Services Program website and create an account.

  2. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the Digital Services Program application form with your business details.

  3. Prepare Documentation: Gather the necessary documents to support your application. You will need:

    • Proof of business registration and good standing with the Manitoba Companies Office.
    • Financial records showing a minimum investment of $3,500 in digital capacity since April 1, 2022.
    • Employee records to verify the number of full-time equivalent employees.
    • Authorization letter if the applicant is not the business owner.
  4. Submit the Application: Submit the completed application form along with the required documentation through the online portal.

  5. Attend Screening Interview: Participate in a 15-minute screening interview with a Digital Manitoba Initiative representative.

  6. Receive Approval: If approved, you will receive an email with instructions to sign a statement of work and book your onboarding meeting.

  7. Onboarding Meeting: Attend a 30-minute onboarding meeting with a DMI representative and your assigned Digital Service Provider to discuss the service delivery process and next steps.

  8. Service Delivery: Work with the Digital Service Provider to receive the tailored services as outlined in the statement of work.

  9. Complete Exit Survey and Interview: After the services are delivered, complete an exit survey and a 15-minute exit interview with a DMI representative.
