- Innovative greenhouse equipment (e.g., aerothermal and geothermal heat pumps, accumulation reservoirs).
- Energy-efficient systems (e.g., air compressors, heat pumps, variable-frequency drives, solar walls, ENERGY STAR® certified air conditioners).
Use of Funds:
- Funds can be used to purchase and install eligible energy-efficient products and systems.
Restrictions:
- Funds cannot be used for non-energy-efficient products or systems not listed in the program's eligible measures.

You can receive funding for a wide range of improvements, including:
- LED lighting for general or horticultural purposes
- High-efficiency fans to boost productivity
- Milking equipment to improve milk quality
- Energy-efficient piglet warmers
The program also supports innovative greenhouse solutions, such as aerothermal and geothermal heat pumps, and accumulation reservoirs. Additionally, there are over 200 energy efficiency measures available, including efficient air compressors, high-efficiency refrigeration systems, and ENERGY STAR® certified air conditioners.
Funding must total at least $100. This is a great opportunity to make your farm more energy-efficient and cost-effective.
Program Steps
Read the Participant’s Guide: Before starting your project, make sure you understand the eligibility requirements and program terms and conditions.
Prepare Documentation: Gather the necessary documents to support your application. These include:
- Financial statements
- Business plan
- Quotes or invoices for the energy-efficient products and systems you plan to purchase and install
- Proof of purchase and installation of eligible products
Use the Efficient Solutions OSE Tool: Evaluate the amount of funding you could receive for your project using the Efficient Solutions OSE tool.
Submit Your Application: Once the products are installed, use the Efficient Solutions OSE tool to send in your application. Ensure that the funding request totals at least $100.
Work with a Partner (Optional): You can also collaborate with a partner, such as a specialized company, equipment manufacturer, or consulting engineering firm. They can support you through the process and provide all required documents. Partners may also receive incentive compensation.
Await Approval: After submitting your application, wait for the program administrators to review and approve your request.
Receive Funding: Upon approval, you will receive the funding to help cover the costs of your energy efficiency measures.
