    • Common spaces and equipment in multi-unit residential buildings
    • Farms registered as a business
  • Projects must occur at facilities located within Alberta.
  • Must meet project timeline requirements.

Program Steps

  1. Register/Login to the Portal: Begin by registering or logging into the Energy Savings for Business program portal.

  3. Prepare Documentation: Gather the necessary documentation for your application. This includes:

    • Financial statements
    • Business plans
    • Quotes for equipment or services
    • Project timelines
    • Any other relevant supporting documents
  4. Select Eligible Measures: Identify and select the eligible measures and technologies for your project from the provided list (e.g., HVAC, lighting systems, refrigeration).

  5. Complete Online Application: Fill out the online application form with all required information about your business and the proposed project.

  6. Submit Application: Submit your completed application through the program portal.

  7. Wait for Pre-Approval: Your application will be reviewed, and you will be notified if it is pre-approved. If funding is not immediately available, your application will be added to the wait list.

  8. Project Implementation: Once pre-approved, proceed with implementing your project according to the timelines and guidelines provided.

  9. Request Extension if Needed: If your project requires more time, submit a Change Request to ERA for approval of an extension.

  10. Post-Project Application: After project completion, submit the post-project application along with any required documentation to finalize the process.
