Financing Details
Type of Financing: Loan
Repayment Terms and Interest Rates:
- The loan offers a fixed interest rate of 3.5% per annum.
- Repayment term is up to 10 years.
- Early repayment is allowed without any penalties.
Eligible Expenses:
- Salaries and wages for employees.
- Purchase of new equipment and technology.
- Research and development costs.
- Marketing and promotional activities.
- Rent and utilities for business premises.
Use of Funds:
- Funds cannot be used for personal expenses.
- Funds cannot be used to pay off existing debts.
- Funds cannot be used for any illegal activities.

Qualifications
- Must be an employer making a significant investment in Canada.
- Must be a university supporting publicly funded research chair holders coming to Canada.

Program Steps
Identify a Referral Partner: Choose a referral partner from the provided list that aligns with your business location and sector.

Receive Referral Confirmation: Once the referral partner confirms your eligibility, they will refer your business to the Dedicated Service Channel (DSC).
Wait for DSC Contact: The DSC will contact you directly after receiving the referral. They will assign an account manager to assist you.
Prepare Necessary Documentation: Gather the required documents for the application process. These typically include:
- Business registration documents
- Financial statements
- Business plan
- Proof of significant investment in Canada (if applicable)
- Any other documents requested by the DSC
Consult with Account Manager: Work with your assigned account manager to understand the application process, clarify any questions, and receive guidance on completing your application.
