Repayment Terms and Interest Rates:

  • There are no repayment terms or interest rates. This is a subsidy, not a loan.

Eligible Expenses:

  • Wages for Métis individuals provided with career-related work experience and training.
  • Up to 50% of the wages for a period of six months or less for permanent hires.
  • Up to 50% of the wages for summer employment of Métis youth (ages 15-30), with a total contribution not exceeding the provincial minimum wage.
  • For not-for-profit organizations, up to 100% of the wages, up to the provincial minimum wage.

Use of Funds:

  • The funds must be used to subsidize wages for Métis individuals gaining career-related work experience and training.

Restrictions on Use of Funds:

  • The funds cannot be used for any expenses other than wages for the specified employment and training purposes.

Fees:

  • There are no fees associated with this program.

This program offers your business a great opportunity to grow and succeed. You can receive up to $1,000,000 in funding. This money can be used for various purposes, such as:

  • Improving your rented space with renovations.

You can also use up to $150,000 of this funding for costs like software or other operational expenses to keep your business running smoothly.

The federal government guarantees 85% of the loan, providing a significant safety net for you. This means less risk and more security for your business.

The loan program is flexible. If you have made significant purchases in the last 365 days that fit the program guidelines, you can apply them to this loan. You have various options to pay back the loan, including choosing a changing interest rate, a steady one, or combining your loan amount and interest into combined payments.

You have up to 15 years to pay back the loan, no matter what you spend it on. This long payback period gives you the time and flexibility to manage your finances effectively.
