Qualifications

  • Must be a production company incorporated pursuant to the laws of the Territory of Nunavut or Canada.
  • Primary activity must be developing and producing film, television, and/or digital media content.
  • Must be in good standing with the relevant Corporate Registry.
  • Must be in good standing with Nunavut Film.

This program offers your business a great opportunity to receive financial support. You can get up to $7,500 for various activities such as project development, scriptwriting, editing, animation, and more. This fund is designed to help you develop your skills and express your artistic voice.

You can also receive an additional $1,500 if your project includes the Inuktut language, and $250 for internet uploading and downloading costs. This can help cover expenses related to online marketing and promotion materials.

The funding is provided in two parts: 75% upfront upon signing the agreement, and 25% upon completion and delivery of your project. This structure ensures you have the necessary funds to start and complete your project successfully.

Program Steps

  2. Prepare Documentation:

  3. Complete the Application Form:

    • Provide your name, company, email, phone number, mailing address, community/city, territory/province, postal code, and website (if applicable).
    • Include your incorporation number and indicate if you are including a co-applicant.
  4. Detail Project Information:

    • Enter the project title, estimated start and completion dates.
    • Specify the production category, genre, primary and additional languages, target audience, and development phase.
    • Provide a synopsis and detailed project description.
  5. Specify Funding Requirements:

    • Indicate the amount requested from each funding category.
    • Provide a detailed proposed development budget, including research, script, storyboard, production costs, and post-production costs.
  6. Upload Required Documents:

    • Attach the prepared documentation, including the budget and corporate profile.
  7. Review and Submit:

    • Carefully review all entered information and attached documents.
    • Submit the completed application form.
  8. Follow Up:

    • Await feedback from the Independent Review Committee.
