Program Steps

  1. Register Your Company:

    • Go to the Ontario Creates Online Application Portal (OAP) at https://apply.ontariocreates.ca.
    • Click on “Register” to create a user account if you do not already have one.
    • Ensure your company’s corporate information is registered with the OAP.
  2. Prepare Documentation:

    • Gather the following documents:
      • Financial statements
      • Business plan
      • Project budget
      • Details of the strategic initiative
      • Any other supporting documents as outlined in the Magazine Fund Guidelines
  3. Review Program Guidelines:

    • Read the Magazine Fund Guidelines thoroughly to understand the specific requirements and criteria.
    • Ensure your project aligns with the objectives and measurable results expected by the program.
  4. Watch Information Sessions:

    • View the pre-recorded Information Session available on the Ontario Creates website.
    • Attend the live webinar ‘Application Tips + Q&A’ if possible. Register online by 5:00 pm ET the day before the webinar.
  5. Start Your Application:

    • Log in to the OAP and find the Magazine Fund deadline on your dashboard.
    • Click “Start new application” and follow the onscreen directions to access the application form.
  6. Complete the Application Form:

    • Fill in all required fields in the application form.
    • Save your progress frequently. You can return to edit and add information until you submit the application.
  7. Submit the Application:

    • Review your application thoroughly to ensure all information is accurate and complete.
    • Submit your application through the OAP before the deadline: May 30, 2024, by 5:00 pm ET.
  8. Attend Office Hours (Optional):

    • If you have questions, attend one of the Office Hours sessions. Register online by 5:00 pm the day before the session.
    • Dates available: April 30, 2024, and May 23, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm ET.
