Eligible Expenses:

Use of Funds:

  • Sole-source contracts are not eligible for rebates on Yukon-made goods and services.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Yukon business working on a Government of Yukon contract.
  • Must hire registered Yukon apprentices.
  • Apprentices must be registered with the Government of Yukon Advanced Education Apprenticeship Program before starting the job.
  • Must hire Yukon residents who have made their permanent and principal residence in Yukon and have been physically present in Yukon for at least 180 days immediately before the date of hire.
  • Must hire Yukon youth between the ages of 16 and 24.
  • Must use construction materials made in Yukon, used for a Government of Yukon construction contract, and listed on the rebate schedule.
  • Must hire a minimum of 80% Yukon residents based on the dollar value of gross wages and benefits.
  • Must pay employees based on the Fair Wage Schedule.
  • Goods and services must be purchased by the Government of Yukon, made or produced in Yukon, and listed in the Business Incentive Program Rebate Schedule.

  • Disqualifications:

    • Businesses receiving benefits for an apprentice through another Government of Yukon program.
    • Sole-source contracts for goods and services.

Program Steps

  1. Contact the Business Incentive Program Office:

    • Reach out to the Business Incentive Program office to request the necessary rebate-claim worksheet.
  2. Prepare the Appropriate Documentation:

    • Gather the following documents:
      • Completed rebate-claim worksheet.
      • Signed and notarized Statutory Declaration.
      • Employee Information and Release Form (if applicable).
      • Employment Report worksheet (if applicable).
      • Supporting documents verifying Yukon residency (if applicable).
  3. Complete the Required Forms:

    • Fill out the rebate-claim worksheet accurately.
    • Ensure the Statutory Declaration is signed and notarized.
    • Have employees complete and sign the Employee Information and Release Form, if required.
    • Fill out the Employment Report worksheet, detailing all on-site hours for employees or apprentices, if applicable.
  4. Submit the Application and Documents:
