Type of Financing: Non-repayable Contribution

Repayment Terms and Interest Rates:

  • This is a non-repayable contribution, meaning you do not have to pay back the funds received.

Eligible Expenses:

  • Development of in-person or online education and/or awareness events, such as test drive opportunities.
  • Creation of curriculum or training material.
  • Outreach and awareness campaigns.
  • Development of web-based resources.
  • In-person professional training or industry-led skills training.
  • Projects that increase knowledge of charging & refueling and/or clean fuels options and technologies.

Ineligible Expenses:

  • Purchase of vehicles is not eligible for reimbursement.
  • Any expenses incurred prior to the signing of a contribution agreement with NRCan.

Fees:

  • There are no fees associated with applying for or receiving this funding.

  • Must be an organization or legal entity validly incorporated or registered in Canada.

    • Includes not-for-profit and for-profit organizations such as:
      • Electricity or gas utilities
      • Private sector companies
      • Industry associations

      • Provincial, territorial, regional, or municipal governments or their departments or agencies
  • Must be an international legal entity validly incorporated or registered abroad.

    • Companies vertically integrated with softwood lumber companies
